As you know, Rotary International has recently begun to encourage Rotary Districts to explore opportunities for offering
new club models beyond the traditional Rotary Club (see attached) in order to ensure that our organization may continue
to grow and thrive. No two clubs are the same, but all clubs share similar values and a passion for service. It is in this
context that District 7210 is pleased to announce the formation of the Passport Club of District 7210.
The founding principle of the Passport Club is to allow Rotary to fit your life. Our Passport Club will appeal to local
people who want to make a difference in their community in a way that fits within their available time, talent and
finances, while balancing their family, work and life commitments. To do this, our Passport Club will hold fewer
meetings, meeting “in-person” only once each quarter. Instead of weekly meetings, members are encouraged to engage
in frequent humanitarian service - however that works best for them. The members of the Passport club determine the
specifics of how the club operates.
August is Membership and New Club Development Month. This is the perfect time to celebrate your club’s members and consider the many options available for strengthening your membership. The following ideas can get you started:

Welcome to Rotary!

Rotary is proud to welcome you to our global community of more than 1.2 million men and women dedicated to building a better world.

You make Rotary stronger. By adding your skills, experience, and enthusiasm to your club, you can advance communities at home and on a global scale. Together, we can eradicate polio, train more skilled peacemakers, and provide lasting solutions for communities fighting disease, hunger, illiteracy, and poverty.

Through the Rotary community, you can exchange ideas and build lifelong friendships with people who share your passion for service. Take advantage of the resources and activities available through your club, district, and Rotary International to make your experience with Rotary both rewarding and fun.

How do I start?

Get the most out of your membership by participating in club projects and activities.

Here are some ideas:

  • Serve on a club committee where you can use your skills
  • Identify a need in your community and suggest a hands-on project to address it
  • Work with a youth service program sponsored by your club, such as Rotaract or Interact
  • Host a Youth Exchange student
  • Help organize your district’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards programs
  • Recommend a colleague or friend for membership in your club

How can I meet other Rotarians?

Rotary’s global network provides a great opportunity to expand your contacts and friendships to other countries while creating a foundation of support with communities around the world.
